Stirling History

Stirling history is at the very centre of Scottish History from the Scottish Wars of Independence 700 years ago to the various national battle sites located around the city. Stirling Castle was of royal importance, with a number of the Scottish Royal family being born here, would believe it even had its won harbour.

As you would expect with all this Stirling history it is more than castles and battles site, but also great houses and ancient churches, old buildings and stirling’s ancient bridge, the forth road bridge of its day, constructed 500 years ago.

Stirling is full of history and we are sure history enthusiasts will thoroughly enjoy unravelling the Stirling history by visiting all the sites and places this part of Scotland has to offer.
