Whales and Dolphins of the
Hebrides
A Talk on the history & work of
the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust & current marine
conservation issues.
Marine Life and
conservation issues will be the topic of a forthcoming talk
at Stirling’s Smith Art Gallery and Museum on Tuesday 28
June at 12 noon.
Cally Fleming,
Executive Director of The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust
is travelling to Stirling from their headquarters in
Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, to speak on the history and
work of the Trust and the different whale and dolphin
species of the Hebrides.
Lasting approximately
40 minutes, the talk is free and open to anyone with an
interest in these issues.
The Hebridean Whale
and Dolphin Trust is a registered charity, established in
1994, which has studied whales and dolphins around the
Argyll waters and much of the Hebrides and west coast of
Scotland. The trust uses a combination of research,
education and awareness raising to help in the conservation
of cetaceans and the wider marine environment.
The talk at the Smith
is arranged in connection with the ‘Island Life’ exhibition
by Morag Lloyds, showing at the Smith until 31 July. Morag
is donating 10% from exhibition sales to the Hebridean Whale
and Dolphin Trust.
