Bridge of Allan, the Spa Town with a strong Robert Louis Stevenson connection is a wonderful place to visit for fantastic restaurants and lovely shops selling superb clothing, fashion accessories, gifts, homewares, food and drink speciality shops, along with some lovely hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfasts.
Bridge of Allan has a very cosmopolitan feel. We have featured a Bridge of Allan Historical trail which covers the town’s early history along with walks, landmarks and monuments that influenced Robert Louis Stevenson, author of Treasure Island, Kidnapped, Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde, amongst others. The trail takes from 45-90 minutes and can be found in our ‘Things to Do’ section of the website.
