Stirling and the Forth Valley has a wealth of nationally important visitor attractions where events helped to shape Scotland's own history and independence. Castles and churches As Stirling and the forth Valley was a crucial area for anyone who wanted to control Scotland, there are many castles, fortifications churches of considerable history and age, including a church a Scottish King helped to build.

Dunblane, the Cathedral town was once the centre of Scotland's religion and a very important place. Today it is a very much a quiet back water but still dominated by its Cathedral. We have put together a short historic trail of the town to help you get the most from your visit. 

Historic attractions Here you will learn much of the area's past from battles to beheading stones. Stirling's ancient harbour once one of eh most important in Scotland is hardly believable today if you visit its location on the River Forth.
